Release powder, sometimes called a mold release agent, is incorrect. It's a colorless or colored waterproof powder that forms a moisture barrier between the mold and the concrete in stamped concrete, facilitating release with flexible tools. As a dry-spreading material, it can be applied directly to the top of colored hardeners before stamping.

Colored release powder contains synthetic iron oxide pigments. This transparent substance leaves no residue and is only used on textured concrete. After the concrete has hardened and dried, use high-pressure water (without additives) to wash away excess pigment, being careful not to wash it all away. For deeper grooves, work quickly, removing release powder from protruding areas while retaining more color in deeper areas for a more aesthetically pleasing and natural classic finish. After washing and completely drying the concrete, apply a protective layer of "Colorful Clear Sealant" to permanently seal the color.
